IPA CHAPTER: OVERVIEW PHONETICS SYLLABLES (Tones)

🎯 1. Grundprinzip: Die chinesische Silbe

EN: A Mandarin syllable = Initial + Final + Tone
DE: Eine Mandarin-Silbe = Anlaut + Auslaut + Ton

  • Initial (声母) = consonant or zero initial

  • Final (韵母) = vowel(s) + optional nasal ending

  • Tone (声调) = pitch contour over the syllable

  • Syllable Shape (音节形) = the physical form of the sound

🧬 6. Struktur der Silben (Syllable Structure)

  • Nicht alle Initials passen zu allen Finals.

  • Besondere Finals:

    • -i (three variants):

      • nach z/c/s = [ɿ]

      • nach zh/ch/sh/r = [ʅ]

      • sonst = [i]

    • ü = yu nach j, q, x schreibt man ü als „u“.
